For almost 15 years, Uganda, among other Sub Saharan African countries, has been recognized by international rights organizations for some of the most discriminatory laws and policies against the LGBT community. This is due to both extremist views in Uganda itself, and international influence.

However, changes in acceptance towards the LGBT community in Uganda and Sub Saharan Africa is growing.

96% of Ugandans believe that society SHOULD NOT accept homosexuality
